Wedding Event with a Difference – THE place for East Midlands Brides
The Roundhouse, Pride Park, Derby
Sunday 14 October: 10.00 – 15.30
The Wedding Event with a Difference is back and will once again, be hosted at the iconic
Roundhouse on Pride Park in Derby. Such a fantastic, diverse and unique venue, the
event is billed to be THE place to be for East Midlands Brides.
Taking place on Sunday 14 October, this is going to be like no other wedding fayre or
event.
Meander through the themed zones with over 80 stands of creativity, inspiration and
wedding eye candy and meet with true industry professionals who are passionate about
what they do. Having received a warm welcome by the events staff and collected your
goody bag (first 300 brides), you can begin your ‘wedding event with a difference’
experience.
From the style lounge to all things pretty or travel back in time and visit the vintage
corner complete with live hair demonstrations, jewellery, crockery and headwear. Take a
seat in the speaker’s corner with live demonstrations and advice from wedding
specialists throughout the day and soak up the relaxed atmosphere in the pop up tea
room, being sure to sample the delicious afternoon tea platters courtesy of the talented
Fiona Herbert Catering. You can even celebrate your recent engagement with a glass of
champagne!
Journey into the whimsical wonderland catwalk show to feast your eyes on the latest
bridal trends (you can leave your man in the ‘Blokes Corner’ where we have everything
covered for the groom to be!) The catwalk will take place twice throughout the day and
is sure to inspire.

The Midlands Vintage Chic Wedding Fair {Our Stand}
A couple of weeks ago we exhibited at The Midlands Vintage Chic Wedding Fair. It was a great day, some fabulous wedding suppliers were exhibiting and we met lots of lovely brides and grooms. Nicola from Daffodil Waves Photography was kind enough to take some shots of our stand. If you’ve got any questions about any of the products on display, leave us a comment and we’ll get back to you.
We are rather proud of our vintage ladders picked up while on a shoot down in Cobham, they make the perfect display for our wedding decorations.
Old School Milk Bottles were admired by all. These are the old school 1/3 pint milk bottles you may remember from school. Put a single flower head in them and use as table decorations or hang with twine from trees.
For DIY touches to wedding favours or invitations you might want to try our WITH LOVE stamp or Alphabet Stamps .
Three Tired Cake Stand and Tea Cups with Mini Crackers and Jam Wedding Favours.
Simple cream jug with Sweet Avalanche roses and Astrantia would make a lovely table centre, Blackboard Signs for numbering tables and finished off with our favourite Time for Tea Sign.
For a more rustic grey and yellow look fill blackboard buckets with succulents and add a touch of yellow with craspedia and daisies.
For birdcage lovers out there you’ll love our Vintage Birdcage Wedding Table Plan, use the pegs that come with it or mix and match with white heart pegs.
For a different table plan you might choose our World Map Table Plan, name tables after cities or countries which you have travelled to as a couple.
Use our antique keys to finish off bouquet wraps. This bouquet was on our other stand, pop over to our sister company Passion for Flowers blog to see some of our floral designs.
We took time out from our stand to have a bit of fun with Fishee Designs Photo Booth, a fab vintage themed photo booth!

We are very excited to announce that we will be exhibiting at the upcoming Wedding Event with a Difference, organised by Save the Date Magazine, at the Roundhouse Derby on 16th October. It promises to be a fabulous event with lots happening including the Creative Corner with handmade pieces of pretty, the Lyrical Lounge (tipi tent) outside with live entertainment and a fire pit to keep you toasty. There’s an amazing catwalk show, interactive demonstrations and so many incredible exhibitors (including us of course!)

Come and Meet us at The National Wedding Show
We are going to be exhibiting at The National Wedding Show in Birmigham this October. The Wedding of my Dreams will be sharing a stand with our floral design company Passion for Flowers. This is our first time at The National Wedding Show, and we are very excited!! The Wedding of my Dreams will have a range of wedding table decorations, hanging decorations, table plans and more, complemented by the beautiful flowers created by Passion for Flowers.
If you can make it to Birmingham on 7 – 9 October we would love to see you! It’s all set to be an excellent wedding show we will be along side some of our favourites from the wedding industry.
